Need a gun restorer

This weekend I bought a single shot .577 Snider sporting rifle at an antique arms show.

The gun looks almost exactly like this one

The only difference is that mine was made in England by R.B.Rodda and the Snider breech block, and the lock are nickel-plated.

My rifle has three condition issues I'd like a restorer to fix:

1. The buffalo forearm cap is missing. it was replaced with a poured pewter cap
2. The sights don't look original
3. the checkering is worn smooth and the wood is patched in two small areas

Can anyone recommend a restorer who would work on these rifles?

Also can anyone point me towards a source for a replacement horn forearm tip?

Thanks.

Turnbull Restorations
best in the U.S.A.

I'm pretty sure even the NRA uses them or has hired them in the past.

Turnbull is very good...if you can afford him.

Check with the North South Skirmish Associaiton, they have groups in most of the states and will be able to recommend a restorer that won't break the bank.
