CZ 550 FS vs. Mannlicher Classic FS

For amusement, decided to compare these two. The Steyr possesses a much higher price-tag, but is it really worth it? The Safebolt system is impressive, but lacks in simplicity...plus has a harder bolt lift.
The CZ is much less expensive, does the same thing, with handloads can be as accurate, and is simpler in design. Based on the tried-and-true mauser design, which has CRF, easy bolt-lift and hardcore extraction to it's aid. It's also lighter for field carry, and to some, prettier.
For endurance, this would be judged for field-use, 1-4 days in temperate weather, and either in a soft-case or exposed. Thinking of ruggedness (weather and terrain abuse), accuracy, ease-of-use, and utility/function.
Thoughts? :)

I have the CZ 550FS in 9.3x62, beautiful rifle, but does have a couple plastic parts that I probably wish were blue steel. Mounted a VX-3 1.5-5 with Warne mounts and it shoots like a ball of fire. I also have a Steyr Pro Hunter (not full stocked though) and I love this rifle also. Always wanted the classic Mannlicher (in 308) but they cost double the CZ ... I am happy with the CZ.

The Steyrs are very nice. I like my CZ. Is the Styer worth the extra cost? You have to decide.

I have a CZ 550 RFS in 6.5 x55 , and it is an excellent rifle. It's quality and workmanship are on a par with rifles costing 2x as much.I would suggest you go to a CZ dealer and check one out.You won't be disappointed.

CZ will replace plastic parts with steel. They were doing this free of charge, I don't know if this is still the case.

They aren't even in the same class so it's really hard to compare. The CZ is a good enough rifle, it's built to a price and for the price it's pretty decent. The Mannlicher Classic is truly a finely made rifle, if you care a lot about quality of fit, finish, checkering etc. then it's probably worth it. I have a 60's vintage Sako Mannlicher that is almost as finely made as the Mannlicher Classic, I appreciate the little things about a finely built gun.
It may or may not be any more accurate though, my most accurate rifle is a Savage 12FV, and no one ever accused them of being in the "fine" rifle category.
