I sorry I can't find a picture of it to post but did anyone see it in the most recent episode that aired on 3/21?

It appeared to be an all plastic, break action, double barrelled .22

Is it a real gun?

I would say no. In the 80's a law was passed requiring every firearm to have at least 3.7 ounces of metal in them. This was when people thought that Glocks were entirely made of plastic and could go through airport security. Given this knowledge, I'd say that if it did indeed exist, it wouldn't be entirely plastic.

I am sure such a gun exists "in house" at any number of alphabet-soup agencies, here and abroad. They would not be available for general sale, obviously.

The first such prop pistol seen in cinema was, I think, the assassin's "ceramic" pistol in "In the Line of Fire."

I seriously doubt if assassins or terrorists are going to comply with the "3.7oz" law if they have other plans that would get them a bigger criminal sentence....................

Looks like a high-class zip gun to me.

Yeah, retract those springs to cock it, then the trigger releases them and boom goes the dynamite. Probably fires both barrels at once, unless it's so classy its trigger can fire one at a time.

When I first posted I was referring ti whether it was available commercially. But yes, I'm sure that somebody has made them.

Well, I did enjoy watching as she retrieved the components to the gun so she could assemble it.

Propmasters and armorers for film make all manner of blank firing devices and are licensed to do so. So it is 'real'? Sort of. Can you buy it? Probably not.
