rblack January 8, 2004, 05:27 PM I found this at my dealer today and just had to have it. It is in probably 90 to 95 percent condition and came with the regular barrel and a compted barrel. After cleaning, I shot it, had to adjust the rear sight, and shot it some more using ball and HP's. This pistol shoots to point of aim and is pretty accurate. Here are a couple of pics if anyone is interested.

Longbow January 8, 2004, 05:46 PM Nice! That will make a good bowling pin gun. :)
rblack January 8, 2004, 06:38 PM Thanks Longbow, They may however get a little upset at the local bowling alley.:D :D :D
Drakejake January 8, 2004, 06:58 PM I am a collector of A-100s. I have them in various finishes and in 9MM, .40, and .45. If you like the .45, you may consider getting one of the other calibres. The 9 takes a 17 round mag, the .40, 13 rounds. I think all the frames are the same (but am not sure). I really like the 100. I think it is a quality copy of the Sig 228, but takes a higher capacity mag and has a more slender grip. They are good guns and good values IMO.

rblack January 8, 2004, 07:47 PM Hi Drakejake, What other finishes do they come in? I like the gun pretty well, except the grip angle is a bit sharper than a 1911 which I'm used to. I believe with a little range time I'll adjust to it. The gun did shoot very nicely and to point of aim after a rear sight adjustment.
r3126 January 8, 2004, 07:53 PM I, also, have one. I really like the Astra line. I have an Astra A-60 - the 13 shot .380. Has a really fine finish and shoots as well as the A-100. Good shooting with yours.
Kaxter January 8, 2004, 07:56 PM Pardon my complete ignorance...but is that a Sig or a Sig contract gun? Still fairly new to handguns and am trying to get my bearings on all the makes.
PCRCCW January 8, 2004, 11:07 PM Kaxter, Actually its neither. Astra is a spain based company thats not longer in business, like Star also. They copied the Sig model pretty closely for a long time before going under. The models 80-90-100 in the Astra line were all pretty much Sig copies.
Drake...I know where there are a couple of Nickel A-100's in 9mm if your interested........NIB.
Shoot well.
Drakejake January 9, 2004, 10:33 AM RBlack,
I have Astra A-100's in polished blue, matte nickel, polished nickel, and in polished stainless (marked Inox). I also had a 9MM that was mostly matte blue with some polished blue on some high spots. So that makes a total of five different finishes. Since I like shiny metal objects, I prefer the polished nickel and the polished stainless.

Drakejake January 9, 2004, 10:41 AM PCRCCW,
Thanks for the tip on the Astra 9MMs, but I already have three--polished blue, matte nickel, and polished nickel. I also have two nickel .40's, in matte and polished nickel. Finally, a .45 in Inox (stainless). But please publish the information so that our fellow High Roaders can have a chance to buy these fine handguns.
I am now off on a jag buying Para Ordnance single action, hi-caps. And I have four handguns for sale on GunBroker.com. I am revising my collection but have no plans to sell any of the Astras. But I have sold one Star Megastar and am now selling another Megastar and a 9MM model 31P. All of these are in Starvel (nickel). I also have two Star PD's that pop their mags on every shot. I need to find a stronger spring for the mag release.
