Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone has removed the thumb safety on their SR9c. I am considering this gun for CCW because it will be a little narrower than my M&P. However I have become very used to the M&P's lack of a thumb safety and prefer not to have a thumb safety on my ccw. I know you can remove them on the M&P's that come with them, but what about the SR9c's?
Thanks!

Just leave the safety in the off position.

That's not good if you train/practice without sweeping a safety off, then one day you pull your gun under stress and somehow accidentally the safety is on.

I'd say to just look to just carry the M&P if you don't want the safety. I'd be leary of fiddling with the integrated components of a carry weapon too much - not for the mythical "DA out for blood" legal reasons that many tout, but simply due to the fact that on a weapon you're depending on you probably don't want kitchen-table gunsmithing to bite you at the wrong time.
Just my personal opinion, but having shot one, IMHO the trigger is just a little too light on an SR9 for me to feel comfortable carrying it without a thumb safety. To each his own though. Having choices is good :).

I suppose you could use a little JB Weld and permanently fix it in the off position.

I was thinking of welding it, but I was hoping there was a cleaner way of doing it.
