I found Mustang Pocketlite and of course I bought it. I had been looking for one for a while now.

I went out looking for a good deal on a Kahr K9 and I saw the little Colt. I let a blued Mustang slip though my fingers before and I was not going to make the same mistake again. :D

It's a little scratched but doesn't appear as if it's been fired much. The scratches seem like they were caused by someone using something metallic to push out the slide release lever.

I guess I'll need to replace the plastic guide rod and recoil spring.

Thanks, no I haven't shot it yet.

Does anyone know where to get Colt Mustang magazines? Or am I doomed to search local gun shows?

Try CDNN for mags.. They may not be Colt but they work..
And for a lot less than a Colt mag also..

Check e-bay. There are always factory ones available.

Under search type, colt 380

CDNN has VERY high shipping prices. $9.95 for one mag. Most of the local gun shops around here carried the Mustang mags the last time I wanted one... (Or two :) ) Try a shop or two.

I still see them locally here also. I picked a few stainless up for about $10 a piece about a year ago.

I checked some local shops for magazines, one shop can order blue mags but not SS mags. I'll keep looking around though.

I took it to the range today and I had a one FTF. I was shooting Federal Hydra-Shock and the FTF was the last round of the first magazine I fired. After that I had no more problems though 75 rounds. It was not a good day at the range overall. My Kahr PM9 that has been reliable though 500 rounds had two FTF and one stovepipe. :banghead:

Also while racking the slide on the Mustang to verify the pistol was empty, the slide release lever fell out. I had the pistol left side down when it happened. I saw that Crews Custom Gunsmithing sells Positive Retention slide stops for these pistols. Are these slide release levers normally that loose?

The Colt Mustang is really accurate and pleasant to shoot though.

Thanks
