In my quest to find a new folder that is built to last, I have often come across this one.

Anyone here have one? Tell me all about it :)

Didn't have an A-100, but I've owned more than a few Emerson's. In my experience they have been excellent knives. Very sharp from the factory, excellent lockup.

I like that the handle is supposed to be like holding sandpaper.

My Drifter has a smooth handle. When I sweat, I dont like using it. Too slippery. I have been wanting a Sebenza. But that too has the smooth handle, unless you shell out more money for the inlays, which I would not do.

Recently got a small inlaid Sebenza (African Blackwood), it handles much better than the plain Sebenza. Since I got it used I paid less than a new plain version. ;) The G-10 handles on Emerson's grip extremely well. Wet/sweaty hands would not likely be an issue at all.

I have 2 Emerson A100s. One stock, the other tan cerakote.

This is one of my favorite medium/large folders for carry (I have a couple of dozen or so). Emerson quality, made in the US. The A100 has simple and elegant lines. One of the best things about this knife, like many Emersons, is the feel in the hand. The G10 scales have no sharp edges, and the texture is well defined, yet very comfortable and not excessively abrasive. Obviously, I am a big fan of this model.

i actually just picked up an A-100 last week..........and i am BLOWN AWAY!

everything about this knife just feels right.....

first of all......the g10 handles are ungodly grippy......i couldnt drop this thing even if my hands were made of teflon covered in olive oil......

the blade is razor sharp out of the box and lockup is great

i would not hesitate to pick one of these up.
