Bar patrons escape Molotov attack
Revellers at a busy inner-city bar were lucky to escape injury when four flaming Molotov cocktails were hurled at the venue early Saturday.
Lou Lou cafe and bar, on the corner of Osborne Street and Toorak Road, South Yarra was open and serving customers when one of the flaming projectiles hit a window and three others fell short of the building about 2am (AEDT).
Police believe two men threw the explosives from a hiding spot behind a nearby hedge.
The men then ran to a waiting light coloured Tarago and were driven away from the scene.
A police spokesman said police were treating the incident as a serious attack.
"We're thankful there's been no injuries and only minimal damage," the spokesman said.
Police are hunting, two men -- one clad in a balaclava and the other in a beanie -- who are believed to be responsible for the attack.
