I have narrowed my choices to the sig p239sas and the kahr k9. I am not a big fan of polymer so i am just wanting some input from you out there as to which one carries better and the reliability of the two

Can't sy for you. But for me, the K40 is my favorite all around carry gun I've ever owned.

Whichever fits you better.
My father has a P239 in .40S&W that I'm jealous of, it's an excellent handgun. Extremely reliable and comfortable to carry all day long, I've carried it a few times. It's a much better shooter than my XD40 subcompact.
If it were me, I'd pick up the Sig and never look back.

I had a p239 and I still have a p220. The 239 isn't that much smaller than a 220 and has the same capacity. Look at the guns in person sometimes numbers on paper look better than what they are. I'd rather carry the 45 and it fits almost exactly the same.

Personal preference. I carry a K40 and it has been excellent. Mine has been nothing but reliable. Even during the break in stage.
