4" Full Underlug GP100 with Firesights and Hogue Rubber grips (wanna replace them with cocobolo soon). Shown with my Buck PCKS 110. The scale isn't as splotchy as it looks, it was bad lighting.

What did it cost you to have the SP bead blasted? I was thinking of having my Security Six bead blasted.
Are you happy with the results?

All it cost me was my time and a six pack of Bud Light. Co-worker has a bead blast cabinet in his shop, took the six pack along as a thank-you.
I'm really pleased, think I'll do the GP too.

Fwiw, I had a bead blast type refinish (along with the cylinder front chamfered and the trigger beveled and polished) done to my Speed Six a few years ago and it turned out well.
I like it a lot. It cost me a bit more than a six pack though ;)- I don't remember the cost, but shop around it shouldn't be too much.

Cost me a bit more than a six pack, but shop around and you should be able to get a good price.

You know what'd be really cool? A Ruger Redhawk with the barrel shortened to maybe 4", 4.5", in a sort of mountain gun. I think I saw somebody doing a round butt conversion for it too.

Not much custom about this one just 44 magnum with a set of oversized mustang grips. A really sweet gun to carry and shoot through. I have a Ron Graham.
custom full flap holster for it(Its really tough to find the Ruger practical holsters these days - anybody have one for sale let me know please)

An origional bearcat. Funny thing about this one, when I got it it would'nt take a lr round only 22 shorts in the cylinder. Sent it to ruger to hav chambers polished. they returned it perfectly functional but with a new thansferbar conversion kit installed. Neat thing is the bearcat kits come with a mini version of the superblackhawk style hammer. I really like it. Grips are a real set od stag I tradded off of Doc O'Meara for an older set I had for an S&W K frame - He put them on a vintage 22 ourdoorsman.

How do you think it will look with a 5.5" barrel?

Here is anouther one of my favorite Rugers, the fairly common 38/357 with the 9MM cylinder. IMO This is a very Versatile revolver.
My .45 Colt Bisley Blackhawk - I bought it to customize, but it shoots so well, I hate to mess with it!
Since this photo, I've added a Belt Mountain base pin, and will add a trigger job, too. It's a fine pistol:D

Here is my 10.5" 44 mag Super with 2x Leupold that I bought for $300 used. It is definetely not a pretty gun but is one heck of a shooter. Really seems to like the RCBS 300 SWC gc over 21.5 grains of 296 at 1430fps.

Now a for those of you that want a .50 Revolver.
The Bowen "Alpine" started as a Redhawk. Custom work includes fitting a 5-shot .50 AE cylinder; a 4 inch barrel bored out for .50 AE; rounding the bottom of the grip frame; tuned action. The Alpine is fitted with Ashely Express sights.
