I seem to remember a post (but, of course, didn't write down the info) where someone said the address provided for submitting a C&R license application is no longer correct. Can anyone confirm or deny this, and better yet, can anyone provide the correct address?

I think the new address is in Georgia (the old one was in Texas?)

I've heard people say the forms sent to Texas do get forwarded to the new address (just adds a few days delay, that's all).

I called and asked for the C&R form(s) last month.

The forms I had had a Texas address but I can't remember the specifics.

Anyway, that's where it said to send it so that's where I sent it. I guess I'll find out if they were wrong, or I was wrong, or whatever, lol.

When I sent minein, htey went to a drop-box in TX (I think). The bank takes care of the checks and forwards the packets to the Atlanta office.

At least, that's the way it was...

Does anyone have a ball park idea of how long it takes to get the approved license back?

I've heard anything from a week and a half (I know that's too short for a government agency) up to around three months.

Mine took 38 days IIRC. But these days (post 9-11) it may take a little longer.

It's real variable. Mine (10/03) was 13 days mailbox to mailbox. I've seen posts on other boards where people are in their second month, or maybe longer.

I sent mine in at the end of November and am still waiting :(

I sent mine in on October 13th and the license arrived on November 28th.

But I sent mine in by mistake to the Dallas address, so it had to be forwarded to the correct Atlanta office.

The law says they have 60 days to approve or deny your application, start calling if you hit ~55 days and no sign of it showing up.

I got my C&R in a about 20 days from the time I mailed the application. I was pretty surprised.

I sent mine in on Oct. 17. I still haven't received it. I have been calling and getting voicemail. The message says leave your information and someone will get back with you in 24 hours. No one ever calls back. I have been leaving a message every day for 2 weeks. Dealing with the gubment sucks. They cashed my check 3 days after I mailed it. No problems taking my money.
