The actual Maxim company still makes sound suppressors, just not for firearms.

YHM makes an asymmetrical "maxim" suppressor but I haven't seen inside one so I don't know if its actually a "maxim" or not.

Here in Virginia our local NFA dealer had YHM Maxim suppressors. I liked it so much I bought one.

I inherited a Winchester 1903 which was their first autoloader in a now obsolete .22 caliber. It can with an original Maxin can. The thread pitch on the rifle is 1/2x20...a standard European thread. Most .22LR cans in this country are 1/2x28 although adapters are available. So check your thread pitch first.

I have no desire to own a full-auto weapon, but I can see myself getting into suppressors someday. My Buckmark is begging me for one!
