IIRC, I saw this episode on History Channel's Secret Weapons of the US (WWII). On it, they discussed that the real reason the Vichy gave up so quickly was that the US employed a division of giants when France got retaken. They had one veteran describe an encounter as, "Zey were énorme...gross, big...zey 'ad 'uge weapo'. We could not compete. We drop our rifle and advance backward, no? Zey had...how you say...BAR, mon dieu. It was terrible, all ze screeming and crying. We wet our croissant."

Can't recall when that episode aired though.

Armored Fire in Minnesota has one also. Wish I had a BAR :( Even the semi auto ones are a bit rich for me.
