Title says it all. I have found one of each. The 3" is brand new. The 4" is the fixed sight, short shroud, bobbed hammer model that Century repatriated a few years back. If anyone has both, can you comment on the weight difference if any and any difference in handling? Thanks.

1)The 3" GP100(Model KGPF 331)weighs 36 Ozs. However, the rarer 3" with the short shroud(Model KGPF-330) weighs 35 ozs.(All Models in blue or stainless).

2)The 4" short shroud weighs 37 ozs.(All models in blue or stainless).

The three inch does handle better, trust me!

But the 4 inch generates more power.

If self defense is primary and hunting secondary get the 3 inch.

If the reverse, get the 4 inch.

I carry a 3 inch GP in front in a IWB holster (the soft Uncle Mike's holster) and love it. That extra inch with the 4" make a BIG difference in that carry mode. I've tried it.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I am leaning three inch right now. Looks like the weight difference is academic but I know from my experience with S&W revolvers there is an appreciable difference in the handling of a 3-inch gun.
