i just finally got my hands on a couple of these sig 7 round mags. the versions i recieved had the gen 3 follower, and are matte finished or not shiny....if i used the wrong term? there is a gap between the grips and plastic finger extension on the mag, but it's msall and the mag doesn't move around much. i haven't had a chance to test them out yet or for the matter the new recoil spring i installed. anyone had any issues with these, related to the mag itse;f and not their gun, as everyone knows these guns can be hit and miss.

i have two versions of the p238 a "hd" and one of the first nitrons or plain janes that came out. the nitron one still has the original slide, not the newer beefed up slide like the hd has. so i am wondering will the newer stiffer flat recoil spring work fine with the older slide...if the gun worked fine with the old style recoil spring? i assume so since i have found no info on it, anywhere i looked?

second part of my post i was looking at the pistol in detail with the 7rnd mag, and i realized the extra round didn't affect pocket carry for me anyways.....and if the slide and barrel were maybe a 1/4" to 1/2" longer....it might be a more reliable pistol for those who have gotten dogs/lemons, and still be a good pocket pistol. in other words i like that it is small as is, but another round in grip length and a 1/4 to 1/2" in barrel and slide length would not have bothered me, for what i use it for. who else thinks the gun would be better slightly bigger, but not overboard, to eliminate it's pocket carry ability? thanks in advance for you input....

As far as mine is concerned I don't see how it could be better! Mine shoots much better in every respect than any other pocket 380 I have yet shot.

I just got the new flat coil spring in the mail today, it's obviously longer/stronger and I suspect it's the same spring used in all of the P238's.

My new 7rd mags should be here next week.:)

I just put another 50 rounds downrange with my old one, and never a failure.
I even let a woman shoot it, and she loved it.
It's a softer shooter than my PPK that is much heavier.

New mags and flat wound spring tried out today without any problems.

A very sweet shooter.
