I have a 700 Sendero 7 Mag I may be shooting extensively. I REALLY dislike the thought of a muzzle brake, but the idea of 50-100 rounds without one seems worse

Are they made to attach and remove?? I'd strongly prefer this to mag-na-port

Any "do's and don't's??

TIA

Brownell's has one on sale right now that you can turn on and off. You might give it consideration. You'll have to have the barrel turned down and threaded for the installation.

Smith Enterprises makes a setscrew comp for Remmy heavy barrels. I don't know how effective it is, but you might give Smith a call and get some feedback from them. The advantage of the Smith brake would be that you wouldn't have to thread the barrel or do any welding/silver soldering.

Brownells also sells one that you can remove. It simply screws on and off (after your muzzle has been threaded of course) and even comes with a thread protector to install when the brake is removed.
