Apparently the three fellows slinking around down there in the dark were getting ready to RPG the chopper from behind a post when they got nailed with an Apache's 30mm Cannon. A short and one-sided fight ensued.

Remind me never to get in an argument with an Apache!

Amazing how stabilized the weapon is. Trust me, the ride is not quite that smooth.

The last guy the chopper took out is rather humorous.

Reminded me of a Bugs Bunny cartoon. The FLIR hunts back and forth, like Elmer Fudd's scope, scanning...

"Uhhhhhh... Which way did he go? Which way did he go?"

Then the guy sticks his leg out from under the truck where he took cover. And BLAMMO!

Actually the trucks hot engine was excellent concealment from the FLIR. Although I sincerely doubt it did the poor guy any good, as I can only assume the gunner would pop the two trucks as SOP anyway...

Human Body vs 30mm HE rounds.

Nasty. Especially that first dude.

Sucks to be them.

Interseting video though...hope the enemy sees that, realizes that they are not safe at night and at ranges of up to a mile or two.

Plus, they won't have much left to put in the casket!

I got the Forbidden screen also. Cosmoline, is the link still good or do you have to be a member to access it?

I thought those helicopters had 20mm chain guns, not 30 mm.

Here's a good site detailing the Apache's armament...

there was a link on the second page to the video, which one of our members had hosted.

I think the link died of natural causes. Overworked. I'm sure this video is floating around in cyberspace, though, and will be for a long time to come.

I had been hosting the video at another forum and last night the link was mysteriously locked. The FTP folder it was in had it's permissions modified...and I didn't modify them...

Link's working again. I'm gonna try and attach it to this thread so people can download it directly off THR. Mods, let me know if that's aproblem.

Edit: hmmm, no joy. I guess it's too big. Oh well.
