I'm sitting here looking at the my form to pick up a AA ti-rant I'm buying for my 1911 and thinking of a few silly questions:

What barrel would you recommend?

How much will this tame the bark of the beast?

Should I add a full length recoil guide to offset the add weight at the muzzle?

This isn't my first stamp, but is my first can. Any suggestions you have are appreciated

I just ordered a StormLake barrel for my 1911. I should get it in the mail today. I'll give you a quick non-shooting review tonight.

I have an AAC evolution on my 1911. I had Bar-Sto make a barrel for it which took 9 months to receive. It is very quiet with water in the can. I would be careful and check the clearence between the guide rod and the can with a full length guide rod installed, I remove mine when using the can. Hope this helps.

I had to have the Stormlake barrel fitted by a gunsmith. He kept it for about 3 days. Gave me a trigger job, a new trigger and took off about 3 nurls so I wouldn't get hammer bite anymore. It worked.

The barrel met my expectations.

Using Storm Lake on my Kimber Custom II. It fits great, shoots great. Great accuracy suppressed or not.
