Hi All,

I have a Colt Python, serial number E85454. It has had ONLY 24 shots fired through it. It is completely original and has been kept in a Browning fleece lined soft case since 1975. Any opinions on what this weapon might be worth in today's market?

I also have an all original E series Winchester Model 1897. 12ga, 30-inch full choke, takedown shotgun with matching serial numbers 566155. It has a very tight action and appears to be all original, never having been re-blued. It has not been fired since at least 1963. It was cleaned, put in a soft case and stored since that time. I have looked around on the web, and for a gun that was used a lot, it is in much better shape than most. Of course, it is not in anywhere near showroom condition, but if you were made in 1914 like it was, you probably would not be either.

I just joined and thought I would share this info and get opinions.

Silly me, $1600-2000 for the Colt.

There are 184 Pythons up for auction at Gunbroker today.

I'd need pics of the shotgun to give you a better idea. Current prices are wide ranging from $450-1250.
