I gotta stop doing this...

Well, I did it. I had told myself that my Ruger Blackhawk was going to be the last gun for a while. I told myself I didn't need any more. Then I did something stupid. I walked into a gun shop.

I was there to buy ammo for the aforementioned Ruger, and that's when I saw it. A Smith & Wesson 5906, clean and in good shape, making eyes at me from behind the glass case. She stood out among the polymer and black-finished steel in the case, like Natalie Portman at a Weight Watchers meeting.

My father has a 4506 from his days with the Sheriff's department. I used to sit and watch him clean it when I was growing up.

Three hundred and forty-nine dollars later, she went home with me. I didn't even remember to buy ammo for my Ruger.

I said the samething last fall after ordering a Ruger 357 Blackhawk to replace the one I traded several years ago for a Franchi Shotgun. This guy had brought in this S&W model 65 in 357 mag 4"bbl. He still had the original package that it came in and the same box of ammo that he purchased with the gun. The gun didn't even have a wear ring around the cylinder. Priced at $375 I had to have it. so it goes on from there.
I know the feeling about wanting to stop.
Marcus
