Is powder okay to use after sitting 2 months out

I have had approximately 1/2 pound of AA#7 sitting in my Dillon for 2 months in 65% humidity. I forgot to return it to it's container after the last loading session.

Can anybody tell me if it is still okay to use? I hate the thought of wasting any powder given the cost of it now.

Yes, but it might be clumped-up. (I had that happen with some Titegroup and I loaded a bunch of squibs) Dump out the powder on a sheet of newspaper and pour it back and you should be OK. Your powder measure hopper might be etched or discolored now, but that's a different problem.

Now, if that was BLACK powder, I'd say throw it out. I had a Kentucky rifle go "click" (only the percussion cap went off) while it was centered on the chest of the biggest buck I've ever seen. Ruined the rest of the day cause I had to go back home to use a bullet puller to get that @$!& stuff out. Since then I've never trusted older (setting out) powder in my reloads. JMHO.

The Dillon measure will discolor if left with powder sitting in it. This does not affect function and if it really bothers you Dillon will be happy to sell you a new cylinder for a reasonable price (currently $8.95, part number 13691).

As long as the powder doesn't show signs of deterioration (red color, acrid smell) it should be fine.

The powder is fine. Heck, it's 65% or better humidity here all the time. Powder does not readily absorb water just sitting in a hopper.
