I was looking at one of the newer special run hard chromed Winchester Model 94's on gunbroker admiring it, but the 4 shot tube really kills it for me. Why did they go and do that??? Stupidest thing I've seen lately. The normal 7 shot tube even looks much better! And it's traditional. What were they thinking!!!???

Wondernone. I am interested in the 94 you spoke of. Is it being catalogged now? I got one that came from the 99 Shot Show. It is a four shot as you indicated but I do like the balance when hunting. Thanks, Byron

I'm sorry, I was looking at them again now, and I can't find it. I believe the ad said something like that there was only 1,000 or 2,000 made and I think they were made recently, within the past year or 3 years or so.... I had it on my watch list a week ago, but I deleted it.
I really liked this one http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=15080431 until I noticed the price :what:

It seems you may have been looking at one similiar to mine. It was made for the 1999 Shot Show. It is Brushed Chrome, synthetic stock with swivel studs. I got mine NIB. When I got it several years ago, I called Winchester and was advised that less than 500 were made. Orders were only taken at the Shot Show. What was the asking price?
The other is very nice but not that nice. Byron

Over the years, Winchester has produced a lot of leave -er actions with the short mag tube. The Model 64? was a thutty thutty with a short mag and a pistol grip stock.
