Hi Everyone....Although we have a few hours left!...It seems that the calculations were wrong again!

I say that is the way with Math! Sometimes the numbers get lost when you adding and carrying and dividing and all! :rolleyes:

I actually sold a gun... One of my Browning Highpower MKIII's, but i still have plenty for Rapture

Why buy a gun? I figured if the rapture actually happened I would just go and round up all the free guns I wanted. What a surprise, it didn't happen.

I had been wanting one of these for a while, and got a good deal locally.
I would still like the 6" version, but this will fit a present need.

I looked at an SP101 but they wanted more for it than the GP100!

Went to an auction that advertised a bunch of guns today, but I'm too much of a cheapskate to pay auction prices ($400 for a well used, and scratched, Henry Golden Boy?:eek:) The one bargain was a WWII era Model 94 30 WCF in about 95% condition that went for $575. Nice gun at a good price, but not something I really need or want.

I bought a couple of guns. The first was an Inland M1 Carbine with barrel markings for 9 of 1944. It looks to be fully original based on the sources I have but I am certainly no expert. That gun will go in on Tuesday for an evaluation. The other gun was a Winchester 1876 in 45/60. Serial number says made in 1881 and it is either a late Second Model or an early Third. I saw it for sale at a garage sale 3-4 weeks ago but could not swing the funds then. I stopped by a couple of times once I scrounged up the cash but no one was home. Last night they had another sale and the gun was still there. He knocked a couple hundred off the price and I grabbed it quick. It is in good shape and as soon as I get the OK from the gunsmith, I'll make up some loads and shoot it. It may not be a Rapture gun but it is one I really like.

This is really sad. I forgot the world was gonna end and got out early to clean the gutters and put up gutter guard. If I had remembered I could have done a bunch of fun things.

Well, I bought a Kahr CW 45 today for concealed carry. My Glock 21 seemed a little large, and the Kahr shoots real nice! I'm happy!

I just swapped handguards around on my ARs, making them "new". Does that count?:evil:

Not me either. The thought never crossed my mind. Maybe if I did, I could sue that guy for the cost of the gun that I bought in preparation for his doomsday event. People shouldn't say stuff like this unless they are willing to accept the consequences.

I did not know yesterday was the end of the world till last night. just another nut case claiming the end is near. Oopps still here. Guess we are all ok till the next nut case tells us the end is near.

I bought an old Chinese SKS 56 on Saturday and the guy selling it asked me if I wanted it because of the rapture, stating that he himself bought the rifle right before Y2K, lol.

I bought an older, steel-framed Para-Ordnance P12 Friday evening. The "end of the world" mattered less than the simple fact that I'd been looking for one for a while now, and the price and condition were right.

As this is Sunday afternoon, I'm guessing that I'll be able to enjoy it until the end of the world as described in the Mayan calendar in December, 2012.:D

To answer your question, No. Although, I did call the gunstore to see if they had any trade in 870's in stock that I could pick up this week.

I bought a RIA 1911 CS last weekend, and spent most of the day yesterday shooting it and a few other firearms with great friends. :) I figured that I might as well spend the day doing something that I enjoy.

Had a CZ 712 shotgun that had always given me trouble. Took a heavy loss on that one, but I got rid of it this Friday.

Then yesterday while browsing at another pawn shop I saw a Rossi single shot .270 Win/20 ga combo for sale. I don't know if they just wanted to get rid of it or if it was mismarked, but it was marked $80. Now I don't need it - I've already got a nice Winchester Mod 70 .270 (and a Rossi in .308), but the price was certainly too good to pass up. My brother has been yearning for something with a bit more reach than his .30-30, and his birthday is in a month, so I snagged it as a birthday gift for him.

So I pulled On Call duty and figured I would load ammo until something happened. Well I ran out of boolits before anything else happened and went to bed digesting the prices and deals that I needed to figure out to place an order for more the next day. :D

LOL -- I actually did order a Kahr CM9093 from Bud's last weekend and it arrived at the friendly FFL on Thursday. Wouldn't I have been surprised if the world had really ended!

Nope... was on an airplane returning from a cruise. Actually in the air at 6:00pm EST, when the Rapture was supposed to unfold.
"At 38,00 feet" I mused "I'll probably be the first into Heaven or the last into Hell"
