how do you know that you married well? i asked the mrs. what she wanted for a graduation present. she promptly told me she wanted one of my knives and specified a unique cord wrapped handle. well, she is getting her masters' from auburn this august, so this is what i came up with. now she wants a leather sheath to match her new purse.

Very nice! All my wife wanted when she got her Masters a few weeks ago was a manny/petty/massage....she got it. My gift to myself for my Masters was a SA Loaded 1911 :)

the shotgun in the background is a custom piece i made years ago. reworked and polished all internals. upgraded magazine components. i stripped the finish off the factory wood furniture and stippled over the factory pressed checkering. i then used a very weak solution of ferric acid to give wood the look of weathered drift wood. i added a nice factory 18.5" vent rib barrel and she has been my dedicated house shotgun ever since. i actually picked up a nice used 870 the other day. i plan on making a twin for the mrs.

thanks and yeah she is the best. she has her own AR and wants her own 1911. maybe a good Christmas present. always best to marry a southern girl.
