Maybe we'll get another run of TERRIFIC "American Rifleman" articles again like the last election. Remember the content during the Bush/Gore election? We were ALL impressed with what they could do.

In the meantime, we'll have to be content with the current trend towards articles like, "An Inside Look at Primer Anvils" and "Bayonet Lugs of the Austro-Hungarian Empire."

Wouldn't it be nice if they COMBINED the Rifleman and the Hunter and made ONE mag with a smattering of interesting articles on both guns AND hunting?

They might even be able to SAVE on editorial staffing and spend more on legislative support.

They might even be able to SAVE on editorial staffing and spend more on legislative support. The NRA already recycles many articles among its three main mags (I'm including First Freedom too) -- not that there's anything wrong with that; it's called "leveraging copy." The key to success in print/internet media these days is niche marketing and then repackaging the same content for each niche you're in.

Oh, and if your bag is political stories, there is more of that in First Freedom.

Funding for NRA programs like the magazines is separate from polical efforts, e.g., NRA-ILA.
