Beretta PX4 racking the slide with safety off?

Alright, so I've posted a few questions already regarding the PX4 and am seriously considering buying it. It will probably be mainly a range / home defense / winter carry gun (have a Glock 23 for warmer weather).

I've shot it and liked the tame recoil and ergonomics. I personally like the way it looks and was able to shoot it well. There is just one issue that I'm not sure if it's me or if it's an issue for others, but the safety seems to dig into my hand whenever I rack the slide to chamber a round. This isn't really a deal breaker for me, given I don't really see myself racking the slide over and over again, but maybe there's a way to rack it without this problem?

Thanks for any advice.

You'll have to adjust your grip to accommodate the safety. I'm sure someone will come along and suggest that you remove the safety entirely, though. I wouldn't but that's just me. :uhoh:

Depends on how you rack the slide. I have two and do not have that problem with eithe of them.

But, you can get smaller safety levers from Beretta and they are easy to change out.

A few things you can do right -

Learn to lighten the effort/pull by using the push/pull method via push the frame forward with girp hand and pull the slide at the same time with the other hand.

And, you could invest in some, after market, stealth safety levers -

I think you'll love a PX4 Storm - I sure like mine.

I don't have a problem racking the slide and neither does my wife.

We use the push forward with your grip hand and pull back with your weak hand method.

Works every time.

This is one sweet shooting ugn.
