I had a request for a survival knife from a member here at THR so I came up with a new design based on his feature requests.

1/4" Stainless
Cord wrapped
Horizontal carry
light Prying capability

I liked the design a lot so I modified it a little and also made one that is more sporting or camp inspired as well.

I got in touch with my inner geek and was watching Star Wars when I was drawing it up so the model name is the Tuscan Raider which I think fits the knife nicely.

Hope you like..

Spec's: 154cm, cryo quenched, 1/4" thick, just under 6" blade, double cord wrapped, ambi-horizontal oiled American cowhide sheath with multiple lashing points. hand rubbed flats, bead blasted edges & pry surface with a brushed satin blade.

Spec's: 154cm, cryo quenched, 1/4" thick, just under 6" blade, bead blasted Black Micarta over G-11 scales, American cowhide swinger sheath, oiled. hand rubbed flats and sides, polished blade.

Last is another KÜK I just finished up. For anyone who hasn't seen it before KÜK stands for "Churched-up Utility Knife". This design was inspired by your basic retractable utility knife and is designed for hard use. It's been my most popular design for people who work with their hands for a living.

Spec's: 1/4" thick 1084 high carbon, blasted flats, polished blade, blasted black Micarta over gold G-10 scales with blasted bronze pins, American cowhide sheath with integrated D ring for lashing to a tool bag or belt.

Nice knives! If I had to describe that Tuscan Raider blade shape, I'd call it a semi-skinner with a thumb hump.

They are all super nice. You are an incredible craftsman.

The KUK is really inspiring, we do a lot of cardboard cutting as we recycle boxes to ship out ammo. Those not suitable are cut up and run through a machine that serrates them into packing material. Boss gave us a bunch of Kershaw Needs Work knive such work.

Your KUK would do that with class!

I happen to be the proud new owner of the top Tuscan Raider "survival" knife. The knife is beautiful. A true work of art. Not to mention the sheath. Chad is a first class guy and a master craftsman. If I ever want any custom work done, he will be at the top of my list. Chad, thanks again, you truly outdid yourself.

Both very nice, Chad, but that KUK just sort of speaks to me. Beautiful leather work, too.

Next up is the camp/hunting version of the Tuscan Raider.

That's seriously purty.

Please submit one (1) each sample of the camping/hunting Raider for extensive testing and verification.

If it fails within the allotted twenty-year testing period, you will be notified.
