In my 9mm's running cast bullets, I can't get a handle on this powder, I cannot get a good load to save my life, any other powder I can get a good load on a workup, but this one has me baffeled---has anyone had sucsess with titegroup?
I am shooting out of CZ's.
Thanks, Floyd

Hodgdon Powder co lists several loads with Titegroup and lead bullets. Check these loads out at their website www.hodgdon.com

Unique works well for cast lead 9mm.

I have always had very good luck with Titegroup. It measures well and works great. I will say that Titegroup and cast bullets don't usually make a good combination though. Titegroup is a very hot burning powder that isn't well suited for lead bullets. Just for reference though, what loads have you worked up with it and what problems are you having?

Floyd, suggest you move to slower buring powder Universal comes to mind, and this out to help. If you feel rich get some N320.

i shoot almost nothing but cast bullets in my pistols. i have no problem with titegroup loads, nor do i with hp-38, aa#2, h-110, or bullseye. i load bullseye the most. it flows very well through my little dandy powder measue, and in my area, it is one of the less expensive powders around.

Thanks guys for the replys--I am giving up on Titegroup with cast bullets in the 9mm.
The other powders I use are Unique, 231, HP38 and Bullseye---even Red Dot, and I can dial in a good load with all of them, however Bullseye is my favorite.
I shoot 124gr. and 147 gr. in the 9's.
Starting with 3.2grs up to 4.1grs. of TG in 2gr. steps none of them shot within 6" at 30 feet, other loads I can keep within 3".

Titegroupo is a very hot burning powder. I would not use it for cast bullets. I did use it for jacketed bullets in 9mm but finally settled on using either Bullseye or WSF. W-231 seems to work well with the 147 gr. lead bullets in 9mm at ca 900 fps.
