Pretty sure I'm going to trade my LC9 in on a Kahr CW9.

Found this on another gun site, though......kind of disconcerting:

Is this normal? Anything to worry about?

nothing to worry about. only the metal parts that contact the slide are important. The plastic frame rails don't need to be there at all.

That right front corner will wear back to a point and stop. Or atleast mine did. Has not been a problem. They sure are a nice pistol to shoot. I have a cw9 and cm9. The cm9 is my ever day pocket gun pocket carry .

It will shave off a little plastic in that area when new, then is usually self limiting. I know it doesn't inspire confidence, but that part has nothing to do with supporting or guiding the slide during firing. It actually runs on two thin steel rails in the lower front portion of the frame "dust cover" and two more at the upper rear corners.

There was a post a month or so ago about that very issue. My CW9 (and a friend's pistol) didn't wear like that, but a lot of folks posted the wear is normal, so I e-mailed Kahr. Sure enough, Kahr says it's normal.

Good to know. I hope to pick one up next weekend!

Thanks!
