I need more surplus 308 ammo and was wondering if Radway Green was any good?

I found it for 42 cents per round.

It's British. I shot some British .308 back in the day and also some RG 5.56 and it was pretty good stuff. IIRC, it was boxer primed. I'd shoot it!

Well worth it!

And the plastic boxes the rounds come in make great ammo carriers for reloading.

my fal and bolt rifle both liked it pretty good.

For surplus it was upper teir, IMO.

RG is good ammo. I shot ~1000 rounds of it through my Ishapore Enfield w/o incident and decent accuracy.

Different vintages of RG have been Boxer and Berdan. Berdan is what is out there now.

Some of the best shooting surplus I have found. It would shoot 1.25 MOA out of my Standard M1A.

I'd buy a little, shoot it, and see what it looks like before investing in hundreds of dollars worth. My FAL doesn't like it so much although it is really well made, beautiful ammo.
If you pay shipping I will send you 10 rounds before you go and p;lunk down a bundle. I'm always interested in trying new stuff to see how it performs so if you want a sampling of my ammo (PRVI, RG, DAG, MEN, etc.) maybe we can trade 10 rounds of each.

I've tried Radway and many other surplus rounds out of my M1A, and they all hover around 3MOA. I always try to shoot 7-10 rounds groups to make a judgment call. Those 3 shot groups don't tell me the whole story.

If general blasting is the name of the game, Radway is good to go. If you are after accuracy, Federal GMM or reloading is up your alley.
