gas checks
how do you put them on my new 300gr lfp
lee mold?

More info needed. Is it a gas check mold design? What caliber, what size bullet. What does lfp translate to?

The gas check is applied during the bullet sizing process. Put the check on the base of the bullet and run it through your sizer/lubricator.

I have been loading .45 colt rounds for years that I cast from wheel weights. I have never placed gas checks on them. Anyone else or am I alone? I do add gas checks on my .30 caliber cast boolits. Just curious.

Unless driven to .454 Casull or hi-end "Ruger only" pressure & velocity, a gas check would not be needed on a .45 Colt bullet.

At standard .45 Colt velocity, your Lee bullets should work just fine with no gas check.

Is the bullet designed for a gas check?
