I have a pocket knife that for whatever reason i really love ... its nothing special .. not handed down or anything i just happen to like it. However, i want to jazz it up a bit .. have new scales put on .. maybe some file work done on the spine cosmetic stuff to make it more attractive does anyone know someone who does this kind of work. I used to know of a guy that did that kind of work and his website was mudman or muckman or something like that but i cant for the life of me remember the exact name and google isn't helping .. a point in the right direction would be most appreciated.

Thanks

If you have a pocket knife you absolutely love you do realize after the new filework on it plus new scales and resharpening plus possible reshaping of the blades you ain't got the knife you loved so much. Go buy a new fancy one, cheaper than replacing everything but the backsprings.

Just in case you want to shop it around a little bit, THR's Tom Hudson does a lot of filework and engraving and whatnot. Here is a current thread in which he shows off some of his work: Tom Hudson (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=598589)

I am not endorsing him personally, as I have never had any work done by him nor have I personally seen his work, but looking at some of the pictures he posts here and on his website (which can be found in his sig line), it would appear that he does some really cool stuff.
