Alright, fess up. Have you written your Congresscritters yet?

Alright, it's time we had a little "come to Jesus" talk, as my Dad would say.
Have you written your Senators/Representatives to tell them of your utter disgust with the '94 Assault Weapons Ban?
If so, good on ya! Enjoy the beverage of your choice.
If not, what are you waiting for? We can only win this fight united as a freedom-loving community.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE write, call, or email your reps. This could do a lot of good for all of us.
Cheers,
Wes

I write my representative.:D
I do not bother writing my senators. I have found that one will cheerfully lie regarding her positions, and the other will smugly patronize me.
I have never voted for either, and will vote for the devil hisself ie he should run against either. :cuss:
IMHO, writing either of these hogs at the public trough is a waste of my time, and I have little left;) I don't argue with antis for the same reason:banghead:

I emailed my senators and congressman about a week and a half ago. They don't even care enough to reply with one of the standard "I'm very concerned with what you think. . ." emails.

I've been planning a big letter-writing session. When I get back to college this weekend, I'm going to sit down with friends and we're all going to write together...make a little party out of it. Hopefully I can get six or so to attend. They're shooters, and all ROTC, Natty Guard or Marines, but are completely ignorant to the laws...one guy thought the 1994 AWB was about machineguns.
So I voted "I forgot and I'm writing now." :D

We're getting good results. Excellent!
George, you and I are in the same boat. I've written Orrin Hatch enough that he doesn't send me "cookie-cutter" letters anymore, he actually writes a real response.
Really, I meant the initial post to be a tongue-in-cheek reminder to those high-roaders who actually have a life, and may have forgotten. :D No offense intended! ;)
Boy oh boy, I hope I can buy 13 round magazines at my local gunshop soon...

Didn't vote.
I haven't, and won't. Concerned with government, but these sorts of actions are about useless, IMHO.

I've written, and actually recieved replies! One was actually a tad positive, the other was good old political double speak for "keep voting for me and ignore the fact I didn't reply to your request because I'm against it". I sent follow up letters and only heard back for the 1st one.

My Senators are Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin. :(
Carl usually sends a form letter suggesting I visit his website to find out his position on issues..Hellooo? I'm aware of his position on this issue. That's why I wrote.

I would write no matter how pro or anti they are. Even pro gun people could think twice if something bad happened between now and then. As for antis they do not like being unpopular or loosing votes. If you write them they may not push the issue as much, or abstain a vote if enough people go against their beliefs.

No. They got a short attention span. Will hit 'em heavy & often coming up to the vote.
(&Texas congresscritters are a fairly safe bet anyway- especially since we're showing a large number of Dims the door after re-districting....) :D

I'm with Mark Tyson. Last batch was 13 letters re: the AWB. Hopefully someboby's listening. I got a few replies back, some favorable.

I wrote Rob Bishop so many times that he called me on the phone one day just to let me know he felt the same way about the ban. I really didn't mean to bug him so much, but I found a website that had 4 different addresses for him (DC, Salt Lake, Provo and Ogden) and wanted to make sure he got my letter so I sent a copy to all 4! :)

When I make campaign contributions to Pres Bush, Senator Campbell, the Republican Senatorial Committee and the National House Republican Committee I attach a post-it note to the check that says "Let the AWB sunset or I vote for another party".
