Just wanted to tap into some resources and see which replacement mags work best in the Hi-Power. Mine came with the steel 13 round mag without the sight holes in it. I like it but also want to get some spare mags for this pistol.

Which make, where to get and average price is what Im lookin for. Thanx

I like the somewhat controversial KRD 17 rnd. mags. Controversial because the spring is really stiff the first few loadings, and not everyone likes 'em. But I have found them perfectly reliable. And the smooth finish helps on Hi-Powers with their mag disconnect still in place. And they are reasonably priced.

CDNN has them; let them sit many days fully loaded to "set" the spring and aid future loading.

I've been using the KRD 17 rounders for quite a while with no problems. Ditto on loading and leaving for compressing the spring.

There are hundreds of proper militasry 13 rounders out there, expect to pay about $35..

Ive never like anything other thatn the 13s, never felt I needed more...

I have a couple of the 17 round KRD mags from CDNN which work well in my BHP Practical. I will probably pick up a couple more.
