After a lot of searching I finally found a replacement rear sight for my 75. However, I really want to replace the front sight. Does anybody make a stake-on replacement front sight?

Am I doomed to sending it to a gunsmith for some milling, sight replacement, and refinishing? I'd rather avoid this option as it would be almost more cost effective to buy a 75B.

Hello. I read that "someone" has some Pre-B front sights, but cannot remember who. Sorry. It might have been Mike at www.czusa.com . You might also check at http://pdmall.com/CZC/parts~1.htm

Best.

CDNN still lists them on their website. http://www.cdnninvestments.com/lowprofile.html They might be able to hook you up with a new front site, too.

I got a rear one in October (CDNN is great to deal with and their catalog is great browsing, by the way), painted the stock front sight white, and after sighting in, everything works great!

Do the new rear sights help with the low visibility issues at all?

Thats my main concern. Ideally, I'd like a set of night sights, but if it were that much of an issue I'd just send the whole thing to Novak and let him do his thing.

If you haven't ordered a new sight yet, I have an adjustable Mec-Gar - I ordered it from CDNN thinking I was going to buy a pre-B, but I waited too long and it sold.

CDNN charges $10 for shipping no matter how small the order. I will sell the sight for $25 shipped in the US. It is brand new in packaging.

I just heard back from Mike at CZUSA. He doesn't have any, but a company called Precision Sights International (http://www.precisionsights.com) does. And of course, their website is currently down.

In indoor range lighting, the rear's two white dots and the (self-painted) white blade are easy to pick up. The paint Mec-Gar uses doesn't have any 'glow-in-the-dark' properties like the paint CZ uses, though.

Falconer, the sights at precision are LPA sights which are the same as mec-gar sights. Mec-gar just use to sell them with their name on them. The sight makarov is selling will be the same sight for a lot less money. They come in plain black, white outline or dots. See what style makarov has because presision is going to charge about $60 plus shipping. Mark

What I really want is a new frontsite AND a rearsite. This company supposedly has new stake-on front sights according to Mike at CZUSA.

http://www.millettsights.com/series11.htm Here's some but the front sight is tall. I have a cz75b with an mec-gar sight set and it has a pretty tall front sight too. Mark

Ok, anyone care to explain the difference between the dual crimp and the stake on front sights that Millett offers?

Falconer, I once used the Meprolights on the old (round top) pre"B" seventyfive. Although I usually prefer the Trijicons to Mepros, it was the only ones I could have at the time. The sights came as a set of front and rears, but I am not sure if they still produce this model for old CZ-75.

I had Bomar sights installed on my CZ-75 by Evolution Gun Works. Very nice.
