I have a sickness

I have been obsessively reloading every .45 ACP case I have. The second I shoot any, I immediately clean them and reload them. I have actually considered pulling some factory ammo so I could get cases, and use my reload recipe. LOL

I've gone through about 1200 bullets so far (and 1000 in .40, and a few hundred in .30-06)

I ran out of my first batch of Berry's and ordered some more from tjconeveras just so I could fill up the 150 or so cases I had left.

Is there a cure?:D

Live so far up in the hills; you will run out of supplies before you get tired of reloading. By the time the weekly UPS driver arrives, you are well rested and ready to go at it again.

So

"Feed a cold, starve a fever"?

Or

"starve a cold, feed a fever"?

I'm waiting on supplies so I went shooting (a bit) today; I brought my kid's Easter basket, but only half-filled it with "left behinds". Enough to go through the motions eh?

You can at least ease your pain on your wallet by swapping from Berry's to MBC. I learned that when I became obsessed with loading .45ACP. I'd guess I've got 3k loaded, 3k worth of components sitting on the bench, and haven't fired 1 round of it in months.

I still have not figured out the attraction of lead bullets (unless I cast them myself).

MBC 230gr LRN are $86 per thousand. Shipping is going to make that about $100. For $20 more I can get 230gr FMJ from Precision Delta.

Or you could spend that $20 you saved by buying lead bullets on powder, or primers.

I don't understand why you would spend $20 more to get FMJ. The lead shoots fine and is cheaper, where is the confusion?

I think that is an obsession many of us here deal with. I have calmed down some now that summer is here, but only because I don't get as much shooting done this time of year.

Wow, you're the exact opposite of me.
During the non-winter I get to the range 2 or 3 times a week.
Whereas during the winter I'll go once a week, maybe, depends on whether the snow is 9 feet or 18 feet deep :D

Is there a cure?Only when you run out of money can you even hope to stop. :)
