I'd like to buy a simple, affordable retention holster that would fit Glocks. Something plastic is fine. Price should be reasonable and holster should work well. What manufacturer builds such a unit?

Assuming you want OWB, here's a couple of suggestions (I don't own any of these) ...

Galco Matrix at $34 (https://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPT3.asp?ProductID=3770&CatalogID=449)

Blade-Tech Thumb Drive Holster at $55 (http://www.blade-tech.com/5.11-Thumb-Drive-Holster-pr-1274.html)

Several Blade-Tech Duty Holsters priced from $106-$125 (http://www.blade-tech.com/Duty-Holsters-c-258.html)

There are a lot of holsters out there from the major manufacturers that come with some retention. For affordability, I'd check out the Galco Matrix and do some research to see how sturdy and realiable it is. Good luck!!

I'd look into a NTAC holster. just got one for my Glock 19. Ran about $65 but the retention is nice and secure with a good design, very comfortable. You can get different clips for the holster so it goes owb or iwb. havent tried iwb yet, but will probably get them down the road. a review from the place i bought it from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKV0Q3yYuRU

I wear my Glock 30 in this 3-slot pancake holster:

I like it... it's simple, durable, versatile, cheap and it's not plastic.

I like Blackhawk Serpa's. They start at $18.

I'd go with a Serpa for OWB retention. It's very simple to draw and reholster. No thumb break or anything to mess with.

I would first ask what type of usage the holster is for. Open carry duty, outdoors. or concealed.

I would look into the Blackhawk SERPA. They are very ergonomic and easy to draw from, but not totally idiot proof. Put one on your belt and try one, they seem to be either love or hate with most shooters.

NO GOOD FOR CCW... they stick out quite a bit.

They work for me. I was told (and will find out in about an hr.) that the Serpa made for the glock 21 will work for my new CZ SP01 Phantom. I like these holsters a lot, but no, they aren't good for CCW.

I conceal my GLOCK 20 in a Serpa with the paddle attachment. I'm a big guy though, so I guess that helps.
