I'm looking the buy a Columbia River knife.
Cheaper than dirt doesn't have the model I'm looking for, anybody know a good place to shop?

The retail price is about 70, that is a bit much IMHO.

Did you ask at bladeforums.com?

I'd also try looking at eBay, if I knew exactly what I wanted.

Knifecenter.com (www.knifecenter.com) has always worked well for me. Good prices, excellent customer service. They also ship quickly. Very wide selection as well. That's my suggestion...

Ditto on knifecenter.com - they even upgraded my shipping for 2 Spydercos (Terzuola Starmates, discontinued) from UPS Ground to UPS 2nd Day Air at no extra charge, which I did not expect. That said, they do have decent prices and a good selection of knives, and I will definitely shop there again.

(I am not affiliated with the aforementioned biz, just giving my experience with them.)

Don't rule out ebay. I bought a NIB Sypderco Delica for a lot less money than I could buy it in any shop around here. As I recall, I was buying this when Spyderco was switching steel in this knife and I was also able to buy the new steel a lot faster from ebay than I was to wait for it to hit the local market.

If you decided to do this, DO check out the feedback received by the seller and DO NOT purchase if the seller has any negative feedback.

Both have been great to me. Also may want to try Grant at G & R Tactical. I'm not sure if he deals with CRKT, but he is a forum member here and has great prices and service on gear.

I'm not an expert, at all, but I kind of like http://www.knifecountryusa.com.

Why? Well, he's local and I've bought from him twice at the local gun show. Flat out admits that his online prices are better than gunshow prices because an online sale has less overhead for him -- but the shipping charges probably make it about the same anyway.

Are his prices great? I don't know -- but they seem pretty reasonable. If I found out I was paying 5% more per knife from him it wouldn't even bother me.

They have great prices and fast shipping.
I just ordered a Bottlefly(a butterfly knife with a bottle opener instead of a blade...cool).

I just checked eBay for a Griptilian and the prices may still be the best from the volume sellers there, after I figure shipping in. If they aren't, then they're within a dollar.

I just checked the other places recommended in this thread and newgraham.com is the only one with comparable prices to the link above; the others either don't exist any more or are about $10 more, at least for Griptilians.

I've found that knifeoutlet.com (www.knifeoutlet.com/) has better prices than most, fair pricing, and adequate to good service and shipping speed.
