1. How are Beta-C mags? :D I know it's an overkill, but since I've been stuck w/ 10 rounders...I might as well go HIIIIIIIIIIGH capacity!!! Do prebans exist?

2. How are Thermold magazines, do they melt as people say they do, or is that some kinda anti-tupperware joke? How do they compare to USGI mags and do they cinch together with those Buffer Tech magcinches?

Thermolds work great
The Canadians had some issues with ones made up in the great white North
The North Carolina ones are fine

1. How are Beta-C mags?
They work great. But, they do need to be lubed every 4 or 5 loadings for the best performance.. You just need to squirt some dry graphite(that is included) into the top of the mag tower and then you just load it up. It will work its way in and around the C mag.. Some guys don't lube them at all and they still seem to work pretty well..
I ran about 500 rounds through a friend's recently (on a preban AR-15)and it was a hoot! Of course, he did all the reloading and lubing. I just supplied the ammo.. :D
Do prebans exist?
Yep! But, they aren't cheap. You can find them in the $450 -$550 range if you look around a bit.. Places like Gunbroker will have them listed in the $700-$800+ range. ouch! :what:

Never had a malfunction with my Thermolds. No melting through a 30 round rapid fire either.

Won't melt. If you see the Betas for 350 range it means they are dealer re-furbs, supposed to still be good. The LE marks are obvious on the front of the new ones so check for any hot knifed off areas.

I had thermolds, like them. Get Wilson US made ones marked 21H or 22H I think. Some guns with tight magwells won't like them. I passed them along because I didn't like leaving them charged, hard on the feed lip area, spreads them out. USGI aluminum, can't go wrong.
