Ordered a Young Manufacturing NM BCG bad idea?

I just ordered a Young Manufacturing National Match BCG for my DPMS AR-15. I had some extra cash laying around and I've have been wanting to upgrade my BCG for a while now. The main reasons I went for the National Match chrome BCG was for ease of cleaning, smoother operation, better accuracy, and it looks good. I'm just wondering if I'm going to have any problems running this BCG in a DPMS AR?

It should work great. Young Mfg is considered a top quality maker of the carrier groups. Not sure you will see any difference in accuracy or smoothness of operation though. What particularly prompted you to buy one?

You are asking after ordering?

Yeah I probably should have asked before ordering it :banghead: The main reason I wanted it was to be easier to clean and so I can actually tell it is clean lol. I also think it looks really good and I thought since it is chromed it would run smoother.

The carrier needs to resemble a dusty hedgehog before it's dirty enough to affect function in an otherwise serviceable rifle. And the modern cleaners like Hoppes Elite, Mirachem, Gunzilla, etc. practically dissolve all the fouling and it wipes right off.
The chrome won't hurt anything but isn't going to help all that much if you do any halfway decent job of keeping it lubed.
You may want to consider selling the carrier here or elsewhere as new/unused if you were just looking for benefits of cleaning and hopes of smoother operation. It won't hurt anything, but there will be little benefit.

hey horvath-
just FYI, I had to replace a bolt on my customer's AR chambered in 7.62x39 and the technician handling the warranty told me the Young match-grade bolt was better than the standard bolt that failed under warranty.
