I have an new 6x45 on the way with an 18 in. barrel. Do you think 1 in 9.5 twist will work with up to 90 gr? 1 in 8 is an option.

the 1-10 in my 6x47 will stabilize 95grn balistics, and 100grn seira and hornady spitzers. it will NOT stabilize 95grn VLDs properly tho. Ive got a box of 88grn flatbase VLDs to try after i move and set my reloading stuff up again.

According to shooters, 1:9 twist is best for up to 100grs and 1:10 for 80-90grs. So, I think 1:9.5 twist would be an excellent choice for the broader range of bullet weights.
JMO. The proof is in the shooting...
