Where is that real good thread?

A few weeks/months ago a new member (a potential anti) posted an honest question asking why we carry and needs guns.

As I recall, the thread was really long and contained some of the best answers I've ever read. I don't think the original poster ever posted again, but we continued to explain and talked of leaving the post as a float for others with similar questions.

Anyway, I can't find it with a search. Can anyone help me find it? I would like to forward some of the comments to a "friend" of mine on another forum?
