Looked online at shooting ranges around Madison, Wi. The closer to downtown better.

There seem to be a few clubs in the area, just wondering if anyone has shot at any of the clubs in the area and if they are worth joining.

Thanks

Not too sure about Madison, but if you ever find yourself further south in Eagle, it would behoove you to check out McMiller Shooting Center. 'Tis a most excellent range, in some very gorgeous country. We stumbled upon it by accident last week during our month long road trip, and we were very impressed on both the layout, and the employees. If you p/m me your phone number I can mms you some pics of the place....

They have a nice quiet outdoor range just outside of Waterloo. I sure miss living there!

Lodi is the only one I can think of.

There is North Bristol Sportsman's Club in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin Practical Pistol League in Verona, and Stoughton Conservation Club in Stoughton.

Deerfield Pistol and Archery Center is there too but they want $15/hour so go a few times and you could have just become a member.

Anyone have any experience with any of these places?

We had a fund-raising shoot for the CCW bill at Deerfield. It's a small range, but it's fine. Wisconsin's attorney general stopped in and shot a Glock for the first time. Did a fine job, too.
