I was looking at some P-08 German Lugers and I began to notice something.
My wife's new black powder pistol looks just like a Luger! Boy is that unreal or what?
Can you all see it? It looks to me like a perfect copy.

Looks more like a RUGER to me.

I agree, someone took the excellent Ruger Mark I profile and adapted it to your gun. Of course, the Ruger owes a great deal to the Luger, as well. :)

Isn't the Ruger design semi-based on the Nambu?

The Ruger, Luger, and Nambu all have similar silhouettes.

Somwhere I came across an article about a commercial conversion kit that fit onto a 1911 frame to make it a muzzle loader. Wish I could remember where.
(I recently purchased a collection of outdoor magazines from the 1930's to the 1960's and I have been skimming through them. It is hard to keep notes about all the "stuff")

I'm told it's no mistake that Ruger's MK I resembles the P-08's (Luger) profile.

The Mark I (1950) came AFTER the Standard Auto (1949), and both were take-offs of the Japanese Nambu, not the P-08 Luger.

''Baby'' Nambu profile, to me.
