Illinois state representative LaShawn Ford will be holding a Town Hall meeting on the subject of concealed carry. On the recent vote on the Illinois carry bill HB148 he voted present. The bill fell 6 votes short of the number needed to pass. I'd encourage those interested in getting concealed carry in Illinois to attend, especially minorities and woman. It will be on August 31 6pm to 8 pm at 460 W. Augusta Chicago, Illinois (east of Cicero Av.) Call 773-378-5902 for more information or to RSVP.
Someone on the Illiinoiscarry.com forum suggested arguments for concealed carry be about the need for woman to protect themselves from rape and attack.
