I have never put any vids on Youtube but I greatly thank those that do. I think it has been a valuable research tool not only for reviews of guns I am looking to purchase but for maintenance of the ones I own as well.

It's nice to be able to review guns before purchase and learn how to properly take them down. Seeing a real person strip down a real gun is much easier than trying to read the manual.

I don't even think about buying new types of ammo before checking it out on YouTube, much less anything past that. I go into a fun store knowing exactly what to look for, how to operate it, and how much I should pay for it. I can do this all because YouTube. It is a great resource. YouTube is great.

Good vids. The language is a little strong in places for my taste (I have a 2 yr old that repeats EVERYTHING), but otherwise you're doing ok. Thanks for the vids

I don't use it for that but I do put music vids on it. They are for the most part bluegrass gospel. My channel is SigP229R.

I haven't but there is a wealth of helpful information on youtube. There is lots of good info from how to do a saiga conversion to info on reloading.

RailDriver; Sorry about the Language. I think I'll throw up a disclaimer on them from now on. Really sorry about that man.

Mike; Yes... huge Monster Overload!

Fish; Yes Q tips are awesome. Just don't buy the cheap ones and they wont fall apart inside your weapon.

It would indeed be a tragedy if the history of the human race proved to be nothing more than the story of an ape playing with a box of matches on a petrol dump. - David Ormsby Gore

I have a channel for Forgotten Weapons (http://www.youtube.com/user/ForgottenWeapons?feature=mhee), with about a dozen vids so far (and more waiting to be edited together and posted). Among others, I have a Federov disassembly, ZH29 shooting, ZK-420S shooting, and a two-part interview with Bin Shih about Chinese arms of WWII.

I find utube is a great toy for amusement.I Know if I need a blow up of a gun and it's from a reliable source, IE: a manufacturer, I would use it to diagose a problem or see if a specific part was malfuntioning, "say to compare it to what I had".
The silly videos and hundreds of guys giving reviews on different models of weapons, has become so over the top, that it's also rediculous. Some of these kids make videos, and have no clue as to how to field strip the weapon ,or shoot it, it's funny for about 1 minute. I actually think that someone should review some of the dangeous stuff that people are showing "or think they are" how to convert weapons to full auto, and or make supressors, along with lists of parts and instructions on how to do this. I can't believe anyone would be rekless or stupid enough to tape themselves modifying an AK with no license, to make it run full auto, to do so, on a public site. I don't wish to impose limitations of freedom of speech, but instructing bomb making, and other dangerous and illegal activities should be at least overlooked by someone other than the people viewing it. Otherwise it is a pretty good medium for sharing videos with friends or strangers.
Kids are very curious by nature, and if you show them how to do something that they think is "cool", they may try it, just to see if it works. When it's as easy as using a "garbage bag tie", it could be a recipie for disaster.
