I've been enthusiastically building a list of firearms related facilities to visit on a road trip when I get the chance. I've been (as my fiance would say) more than enthusiastic about touring the DPMS facility which is an afternoons trip from my home. Imagine my excitement (and her impending chagrin) to learn that I am but a mere 20 minute drive from one the facilities responsible for producing one of the most interesting pieces on the modern market, the Desert Eagle. I just today learned that Magnum Research is located in a chunk-o-podunk not far from my own, I've even been shooting at their gravel pit they use for testing, and never even noticed their buildings tucked back in the woods.

Anyone have any similar stories?

I'd like to take a tour of Magpul's place. I don't know if they even offer tours, but I think they are supposed to be located in Longmont, Colorado. I'm not often in those parts, but I do like that company.
