They are good mounts. I prefer to have the top strap drilled and tapped myself, but since this is your 1st, a no gunsmith mount makes a lot of sense. You never know how you're going to like the combo.
If you want, later you can always drill and tap and then sell the B-Square here for the next fella to try.
Good Luck...

I've had good experience with B-Square, although I've never owned a Ruger revolver.

I have B-square mounts on a S&W model 28 and a Ruger MK-512. The S&W is drilled and tapped under the rear sight and the mount also clamps on the barrel. The Ruger mount uses the rear sight screw hole and clamps around the barrel. I have had both on the pistols for 10 years and never had any problem with the mounts. Even using maximum 357magnum loads the recoil has had no effect on the mount or 2x scope.

Good value but ... I do have reservations over the strength in as much as ... the (aluminum IIRC) is not over hard. Overall tho .. a good initial choice and for a ''no smithing'' fix, still well worth trying.
I have some on my RBH .. using rear sight mount and forward barrel clamp .. seem OK so far.
