Wow, that is awesome.
Makes you want to do that here to see how the Apple store employee's would react. Given the ones in my area, there would be a lot of folks needing to change their shorts when they see it.

He has no magazine in the gun, so its really just a poorly shaped club.
Ammo is kind of important.

This isn't so much "open carrying a full auto assault rifle" as it is a Swiss reservist transporting his duty weapon to or from duty. Completely normal in that country, and you can bet he doesn't have any ammo accessible for it.

It's normal here in Switzerland. It's our way to transport a rifle from / to duty.
Men with gun on street or train station = normal.

... which was a Dogg look-alike, with blond dread-locks, Indian jewelryed blessing-chains, and a FULL AUTO paintball gun. It would be SOooo easy for a look-out to spot this guy on his way to the park-lot, summon he homeys and take the gun, leaving Mr. Obvlivious with his body in two, at the shoulders. Don't EVEN think it couldn't happen. Oh, maybe not to HIM since he has on his UnderAll black hoodie for protection and invisibility. I'm calling "B.S. set-up" on the photo. DAO

Sorry to disappoint you, but a quick look at swiss history shows otherwise. Just look to the surrender to Napoleon if nothing else.

Since they haven't been involved in an external war since the foundation of the Federal State (in 1848) you could say the Swiss have NEVER won a war.

The girls with ARs are in an Israeli ice cream shop.
To see a nice selection in Israel and around the world, just search YouTube for "lady soldiers" etc.

I was in a bar in Jerusalem in 1992 and 12 IDF soldiers walked in armed to the teeth! Any kind of EBR you could dream up. One guy got a drink and sat on a chair in the corner with the weapons, the rest got drinks and went to the dance floor. The 5 of us didn't quite know what to think, but we figured if they were there for a drink, it was a good sign nothing was going on.

I'm talking about with a Rifle, I've open carried a few times myself and I don't mind it or fear the cops being called. Its just with a rifle it can be different. This video kinda shows what I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUd_00Xrf_U
I would only open carry a rifle during a demostration.

You want fries with that.If it's an apple store they won't have regular bulletts, you will have to buy a mac or ipod round for their version.I hear they aren't as fast but more reliable and don't jam.

It is in no way different, at least in Kentucky.
The conversation would go something like this:
Open Carrier with AK: "Am I being detained?"
LEO: "uhhhh... well No...."
Open Carrier with AK: "Then I am free to go? Have a nice day officer"

Not to hijack the thread, but would the off duty soldiers have had any duty or expectation to respond to an incident similiar to the recent tragedy in Norway?

They arent allowed ammunition.

In addition, the government subsidizes ammo costs so people can go to shooting ranges and maintain their skills.

They are given ammo to keep at home, they have access to it but they aren't allowed to use it. They also can buy ammo elsewhere.

Sure.... but it has to stay at home.
Your average Swiss citizen isn't allowed to be armed in public.
Guns may be transported in public as long as an appropriate justification is present. This means to transport a gun in public, the following requirements apply:
The ammunition must be separated from the gun, no ammunition in a magazine.
The transport has to be direct, i.e.:
For courses or exercises hosted by marksmanship, hunting or military organizations,
To an army warehouse and back,
To and from a holder of a valid arms trade permit,
To and from a specific event, e.g. gun shows.
My wife is Swiss btw....she likes guns very much.
