Does anyone know if a thread adapter is commercially available to attach a .578-28 can on a .625-24 barrel thread? My Olympic .45 ACP upper barrel is too short to cut off the existing threads without doing a SBR.

Any machine shop worth it's salt can thread one for you in about 30 minutes. Yup, really is that quick.

Drop a note to Mark McWillis at TROS. He can probably help you.

the sizes are too close to make an adapter which is typically made one inside the other. One in front of the other add too much length to go into a suppressor and may cause baffle strikes. cut your barrel back and thread it 5/8x24.
